The Greatest Wealth is Health
The most important aspect which ensures that we live a longer and fulfilling life is the wellness of our body. We want a life whereby we are less susceptible to factors; which destabilize our well-being. With that said, we don’t want to fall sick often or to have no confidence to the point of lacking proper socialization.
However, we instead want a life whose quality is enhanced by a healthy lifestyle; which we can afford comfortably. We also want to experience positive personal growth and development. Also, we want to be at a position to be able to realize our potentials; as well as achieve our goals and ambitions.
Nevertheless, this means that all the four components necessary for the well-being of a person have to be monitored so that they can be at an optimal state; which ensures a holistic wellness of a person.
1) Emotional Health
This entails the control of emotions under different circumstances as well as expressing them when it’s appropriate.
2) Mental Health
As a matter of fact, this entails the cognitive and intellectual capabilities of a person; which enables one to be able to learn, grow and develop.
3) Physical Health
This entails the ability of the body to be in the right energy as well as mood free from diseases; so that one can be able to carry out normal duties and activities productively.
4) Social Health
However, this entails the ability of a person to socialize and interact well with other people as well as the environment; which should be accommodative while one should also be able to fit among other people and create good relationships with them. Only then will such a person lead a comfortable and fulfilling life.

– About Trina Wright –
I’m a mom of three wonderful children, sons Morgan 10, Makenzy 7, and daughter Monet 3. We live in the Vancouver Lower Mainland, Surrey, BC. And we spend our days growing and learning together. Then I became drawn to pregnancy and birth because of my own wonderful, beautiful birth experiences. However, I knew I wanted to help other couples create their own peaceful, empowered birth experience by becoming a Childbirth Educator. After much searching I found HypnoBirthing.
Its wonderful mix of relaxation techniques coupled with an understanding of the naturalness of birth resonated with me. At the same time a whole new world opened up to me with the discovery of hypnosis. The simplicity of hypnosis, in its ease of use and effectiveness to bring about change to those seeking help, resonated with me. However, the incredible power of the mind intrigues and fascinates me. I have always been interested in healing and total wellness and drawn to matters of the spirit.
With that said, I long to educate others about that power and the joy found in living consciously, choosing and creating one’s experience. It was with this spirit that my husband and I joined together to conceive and create Radiant Wellbeing. We see the beautiful melding of our practices coming together; Hypnotherapy approaching healing first through the mind and Reflexology first through the body.
– About Gregg Wright –
Nonetheless, I have always been interested in alternative forms of healing, in particular natural and preventative methods. I have worked most of my life as a tradesman, as a Printing Press Operator. On my own healing journey I made a discovery that my spirit was being stifled . In hearing the spirit in me I began searching for endeavors that were more in tune with my spiritual calling and involved natural healing.
As a matter of fact, I had a TouchPoint Reflexology book on my shelf that I had bought over 20 years ago. Then I rediscovered it brought back all my interest and curiosity about this wonderful preventative and healing technique. However, I decided to study Reflexology through Touchpoint and absolutely loved it; my spirit was joyous as I learned all these techniques for maintaining, promoting and returning the body to total wellness. Mostly, I love that it was such an easy, enjoyable technique can give such wonderful benefits. This is the greatest reward of being a Reflexologist.
One of my biggest desires is to assist others in discovering the freedom to live life their way, creating happiness and satisfaction in their daily living. So it is with the birth of Radiant Wellbeing that I see my opportunity as a Reflexologist; to support and facilitate others on their journey to healing. I also thoroughly adore and enjoy my children. Their bright smiles and silly antics provide the “soul food” of my life. They rejuvenate me and call me to be the best person I can be.
Here is also a short post about Total Wellness that they had on the site;
Since our second son was born, he has always been very active and spirited and at times this proved challenging. As a matter of fact, we worked with his eating habits and did find it made a difference. But we still wanted him to be able to manage that energy more. And we began doing research and discovered that there was some suggestions that magnets may help.
However, we discovered a wonderful company that has been involved with Magnetic technologies for over 30 years. We tried their magnetic mattress pad and within a few days was amazed at the difference in our son’s behavior. He was much happier and calmer, as was the rest of the family. Suddenly, we found this intriguing. Initially we were a bit skeptical; but after using the mattress pad a bit longer we took it away. And within a few days, his energy quickly escalated. Then we were convinced.
Then er became interested in what else this company might have to offer. My investigation lead me to discover the concept of a wellness home and an incredible business opportunity tied into the home.

Wary of Chronic Back Pain
Nonetheless, I had battled with chronic back pain for 8 years and almost reached a point of giving up. I had been to several health care centers, seen several medical consultants, and tried alternative medicine. Nothing seemed to be working for me.
My husband was so supportive during this period but the quest for healing was really stressing our ability to have the lifestyle that we used to. Our daughter also seemed to be stressed by the whole predicament and her performance at school was going down.
Every penny that we had initially saved all went into the search for treatment; but in vain. Eventually I had to quit my job because I couldn’t stand the spasm attack on my back; which were so painful. This was the starting point of all our woes.
After quitting my job
The health insurance company that was taking care of most of my medical bills decided that they were done with me. This distress call from them caught us by surprise. Even after interventions and threatening them with a court suit, their stand remained unchanged. They had all reasons to win the case because as per my policy agreements; I was not remitting my premiums.
Sometimes even if I was doing so, I had every reason to believe that they wanted me out because they had already revised the rates with a sharp increase of over 130% ; which they claimed augured well with my expensive bills.
Seven months down after this cat and mouse chase, I became depressed. I had undergone a lot in trying to get a solution to my back pain, trying to get the insurance company to continue paying my bills. This was because I felt they were being discriminatory; and eventually the whole situation was wedging a rift in my marriage and family.
Something needed be done and done hastily if at all I was to save myself and marriage from being brought down by the pressures facing me.
Nothing positive was forthcoming. This really strained me to the point of giving up. I would spend almost the whole night crying in pain. But this didn’t help to. Now with the stress and depression taking toll of me; I was finished.
The Reflexology Break-through
One evening as watching cable TV, there was a commercial about a practitioner who was amazingly bringing new hope and repair to a patient’s body through a technique called reflexology. The commercial touched on the conditions in my life; which could be solved such as traumatic pain, stress and wholesomeness of the body and mind. This induced me to give the technique a trial. I had nothing to lose. However, I feared that if I talked to my husband about it he would strongly reject the idea. This was because it meant more costs; which he would perceive as misusing.
Since I had no money, I decided to call my mum and I explained to her about the whole situation. I sobbed as I narrated to her what I wanted to try to see if there would be any improvement in my health. Kind and loving as she was ever to me; she bailed me out by helping me the cash, though not the full amount that I had requested for.
he following day by 10:00
First off, I was at the address of the reflexology practitioner. Then I explained my predicament to her and after about one hour of taking my history; the practitioner began her reflexology techniques on me. Within the first 30 minutes; I started to feel my body relax and part of the pain subside. When she was through with my scheduled duration of two hours I was feeling so relived, happy and calm. The pain had also lessened. I knew this was what I needed.
Nevertheless, I came to see her for the next two sessions scheduled for that week and by this time; I was feeling a sense of belonging. My body had began feeling whole again. My husband noticed this and on enquiry I broke the news to him. I had expected him to be upset by my doing without his knowledge. But he seemed happy and decided to support me.
7 months still undergoing the reflexology and I felt I was completely healed. I was great and all my energies and good moods were back. The pain was gone except for once in a while and the depression seemed to be a thing of the past. Suddenly, I felt it was time to start looking for a job, really grateful about the experience; which brought back life to me.
How EMT Saved My Marriage
About mid last year, I was unlucky. This was because the oil company that I was working failed to renew my contract; which ended then. I must admit, that they were experiencing some financial issues and it was imperative that they lay down some staff and improve the efficiency of production,. But I felt a big blow because I had not secured another job. Anyway I packed and went home to my lovely wife Jessica and my two beautiful daughters who were always a reason for smiling. Then I figured out that I would be lucky enough to get another job sooner.
This never came at least for the next 3 months and the lifestyle that we were used to changed drastically. Of course this was bound to happen given that my wife was a stay-at-home mom who was tasked much with tendering for my younger daughter aged one year. However, during my stay at home those three months before I got a job changed a lot of things particularly my relationship with my wife. I don’t know how it started. But I would quarrel her each day, sometimes even twice or more for any slight mistake. Calm as she was always she never argued and this would make me madder.
At times we would talk as a lovely couple and other times I kind of had mood swings. Two months into my new job at a grocery outlet, she decided that we visit a marriage counselor. Much of our fights had subsided. But I felt that it was good to visit one.
The Depression
We did and went for counseling for almost 3 weeks. There was some improvement though slight. Actually after the three weeks I felt that this was just a waste of time and money and quit.
This was never a good decision because it made Jessica so upset. She tried to talk to me into resuming the sessions at least the ones that we had already paid for in vain. I know how much she loved me and wanted our marriage to work. During the first week of my non-commitment she seemed so unhappy until I pitied her. She would pretend that she was happy. But deep down she was hurting. That weekend we talked and resolved to resume with our sessions the following week.
While at work on Monday I even called her and promised to stick to our plans. But by evening my mind was changed. That day I even went home a bit late and met her sad and worried. Though I gave her some illogical excuses with a promise to be available the following day, she didn’t get any better.
The next day, I still felt that I was not supposed to go for any counseling and instead went to drink beer with my co-workers. Truth of the matter was I loved my wife very much. However, I couldn’t figure what was happening between us. That day I went home late, drunk and quarrelsome only to upset her more.
I never talked about the counseling anymore that evening
Even in the morning before leaving for work, we never talked about it. That evening I went home early to meet her with another lady who she introduced as Katie. She explained that she called her because there was a workable solution apart from the counseling; which I was reluctant to attend. Katie was a EMT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) practitioner.
The practitioner went to explain her roles and how she could help me manage my emotional pressures using her techniques. Something told me that this was what I needed and obliged. I knew that I had emotional stress from when I stayed home with no work and would always wonder how I was to feed my family and also pity myself for not landing on a job.
Katie scheduled my appointment for three days. By Saturday when my wife took me for the last sessions, I was completely myself. The negative feeling in me were gone. My wife was so happy about this.
It’s been over year and half since then. I’m so grateful that EMT helped me get rid of my negative emotions; and thus saved my marriage.
My initial stand
Due to the horror stories about labor pain during natural birth; I had decided not to have a natural one the day that I realized that I was 3 weeks pregnant. This did not resonate well with my husband. But I knew that I was doing it my way. There is no way that I could withstand the horror; which was described to me whenever I inquired about the whole experience. Since my husband, Danny, knew that there’s was nothing he could do to make me change my decision. He never talked or questioned me about it till my second trimester.
He came home one evening and he seemed excited. Then he went ahead to ask me if I would give natural birth a thought and as expected my answer was a nay. But he had another idea; which he wanted me to give a try. He wanted to see if I could decide on a natural birth.
Apparently, his friends’ wife was pregnant. Although quiet later than me and together with her husband, they were practicing some techniques about hypnosis. At first I was hesitant about buying his idea. But inside made me feel as if I was doing injustice to my husband.
Change of thoughts
Danny was supportive. Even before pregnancy he was and up to then he was so much caring and helping me a lot with stuff whenever he was home from work. Here, he was advising me to consider some relaxation exercises. Along with finding out if I found them to be beneficial; it was still me who would make a decision about the delivery method that I preferred. He was also promising to help me with the exercises when at home. Then why not give it a try?
That’s how I ended up taking a two-hour hypnobirth course daily from a certified professional. As a matter of fact, I would attend her classes in the morning as well as during the evening. Danny helped me with breathing exercises, recitations; and watching some CDs that came with the course as well. I realized that this what was I really needed. Through the remaining weeks to delivery; I had build up confidence. Then I realized I was very ready for a natural birth.
Successful Delivery
In the maternal hospital, the midwives were also stunned at my courage given that I told them that it was my first birth. Sometimes I feel that they were giving me time before I start screaming. Anyway, all through the five hours of labor I was so relaxed and calm. Finally, when the time came for giving birth everything was in control. As a matter of fact, I thought that giving birth was just a joke.
Unfortunately during the last few minutes I don’t know what made me lose all the confidence and my calm moods. This made me feel the contractions and pain though it didn’t last long.
However, I will be taking more lessons next year when we are planning to have our next child. The whole experience was very beneficial.
How Painful Labor Pains Led Me to Hypnotherapy
Generally, births are associated with painful labor experience in many places. Something which explains why many women today are opting for surgical procedures; such as caesarian birth instead of natural birth. Most women today can’t help but think of the anxiety and pain; which is associated with natural birth and they can’t fathom how one should be going for a natural birth; while there is a solution to induce labor as well as sire a baby without hassle.
Classic as I am, I belonged to the classical school of thought that it takes pain do successfully bring the wonderful gift of the bundle of joy. Therefore, when I was pregnant with my first born daughter, I knew I made an earlier decision. A decision that I would have a natural birth. Actually, that’s what happened. But I must have under-estimated the whole ordeal by a very large margin. The pain I experienced was so unbearable that I regretted getting pregnant.
As all mothers who have had a natural birth before, they will tell you when you are pregnant and opting for natural birth; that the whole experience can be equaled to having a large menstruation. But I think that is also an understatement.
My Assumptions
My friend Maggie told me that too. Maggie had a child a year before me. I guess that she must have forgotten about everything. Anyhow, under her advice, I took everything lightly. When my time came, I realized the mistake.
It started with intense pain in the abdomen while I was at home. When I was rushed to the hospital it seemed to get worse. Without a doubt, it was intolerable. The pain came in varying intensities due to the contractions. At times I would scream so loud that the medical staff and anyone else present thought I was overly exaggerating. However, I never imagined that it would get that worse. Then I would feel like my muscles were being crashed and twisted each time I had a contraction. At one point, I thought that I should go for an assisted birth.
The whole ordeal was traumatizing that I couldn’t think straight. When my husband came, I remember the sad look on his face. Although he stayed along for the better part of the 8 painful hours; nothing could make me feel better.
A break-through
Nevertheless, I was lucky to give birth to a healthy baby girl. But then I thought I wouldn’t contemplate another natural delivery. These thoughts, however, didn’t last. This was because three years later, I became pregnant. This time I never wanted to experience the pain and this made me make numerous inquiries as well as research on the various methods; which could help reduce birth pain.
As a matter of fact, I found interesting stuff and one of the techniques; that was also cheaper involved some kind of hypnosis. I found out it was called natal hypnotherapy. It involved using some techniques; which enabled one to be in control of situations by overcoming fear. Thus, leaving a person confidence and empowered.
Nine months down the line while reading books and listening to natal hypnotherapy audio clips; I was able to deliver a bouncing baby boy in what happened to be a more relaxed and smooth birth experience. With that said, I had learnt the hard and better way of handling things.
